I talked to our one doctor at work yesterday and he said he thinks allergies. He told me 2 benadryls twice a day...... but of course I think Gibby should get more like 4 at a time with being 95 lbs. But I DID only give him the 2 to see what, if anything, it would do. Not sure that it did anything. He sneezed a little this morning.....but its raining ( pouring ) outside and darker in the house so he is not playing as much.
I did not check with the day care since he actually went to two of them...and I figured I would wait and see if anything develops as he is not sick or anything....just sneezing.
I also did a search on the Internet last night...just for the fun of it. They say dogs don't get colds kind of things like we do....although it could be a sinus infection.... but mainly allergies....which takes me back to my doctor that said that. They also talked about how many things they have pulled out of dogs noses...such as sticks, tinsel, etc etc etc. THAT I believe. I still don't get the fact that he has not sneezed while he is just laying or sleeping...... but when he gets up and starts walking. THAT confuses the heck out of me. But...I will do the Benadryl again today and see what happens.
When I think of allergies....he never had this before. So I start thinking...anything different??? The one thing that bothers me is I truely do NOT believe in putting on flea prevention on dogs.......unless they need it. I have had a few dogs on 2 acres of land when they were out all day laying in the grass and all when I had a big garden and my kids were small......they were out all the time...walking thru woods and such...NEVER had a flea. But since I have been taking Gibby to these 2 day cares I thought maybe I should put some on him...so I put on Advantix. Did that on Sunday night or Monday...can't remember. HHHHHHHmmmmmmmm and now this sneezing started. Can't help but to think about that...I am so dead set against chemicals in/on our dogs.
