Rash

Lies - I just called Walgreens  -- 500 mg of the generic, given 3 X 14 = $25.59.  That's the cash price for a vet to call it in.

At $100 he must have given you name brand Keflex and even *I* don't take name brand ceph.

My vet calls stuff in to Walgreens ALL the time for me.

if you have your vet write the perscription - you can fill it at walgreens or CVS. My coworker used to do this with her late dog - she was on a lot of meds. There is no difference between the dog/human cephalexin.....

ETA: staph infection is usually brought on by itching - whether its an allergic reaction to something (grass in Casey's case). Staph is present on all dogs - it just takes a reaction to cause the break out.

I do the same thing. If I can get it for $4 at Walmart, I just ask the vet to write an RX for them. He has NO problem with it, and knows that it's hard, sometimes. He'd rather see them back for a recheck if things aren't going well than make that sale.

Poor Kenya. I hope that heals, quickly. It looks so sore!
