Lilly went in today for a c-section. She went into labor late last night or actually early this morning. She couldn't have them by herself so off to the vet we went. On the way to the vet one of the puppy's placenta detatched. Lil was rushed for an emergency c-section. While they were doing the c-section (the puppy whose placenta detached was breech and stuck in the birth canal) one of the puppies tore a hole in Lilly's uterus so she also had to have her uterus removed (not that big of a deal since this was to be her last litter any way) ... the puppy with the detatched placenta was still born- male, one other male died about a minute after birth, and a female died about 10 minutes later.  We have 3 puppies left. Two females and a male and we are hoping for the best. Lilly is doing very well with them. At first she was a little snappy, but now she is letting them nurse and is cleaning them. All in all it was a sleepless night followed by a lot of worrying today. So please think good thoughts for my girl and her remaining pups
