    Duralactin. Anyone using it?

I just started using Duralactin supplements for my arthiritic dog.  He also is on Rimadyl twice a day and glyco flex.  He's a senior who has some hip dysplasia and arthiritis from ligament surgeries on both legs about 4 yrs. ago.  Anyone have any results on Duralactin or is it really just a placebo?

I always have Duralactin.  I have had dogs with skeletal disorders (elbow dysplasia, hip dysplasia, spina bifida and arthritis).  I have never used Rymadyl.  My late GSD managed about 7 years on Duralactin daily before I needed to add Metacam to his protocal.  I use it intermittantly when my terv screws up his shoulder.  I used it on my dobe bitch with elbow dysplasia.  I keep a bottle in reserve at all times.

I'm glad you answered.  Thanks, I'll keep using it.  So far (only 3 days) I really don't see a difference in stiffness but he likes the taste and every little bit helps at this stage.

Soo.... it'd be good for little Emma and also my mom's 15 yr old dog? I've never heard of it....

It's a milk protein, so... for a dog who has issues with dairy products, would it likely cause a reaction? She does fine taking colostrum, but yogurt, cheese, whey, etc upset her tummy (in the bloody, liquid stools kind of way).

It sounds really good. If not for Emma, at least for Toby. He could use some extra help, about now.

It seems he has a little better time getting around
