Zack is 6 months old and now has both his adult and baby canines. I went through this with Zoe too and I had the teeth removed at the same time she was spayed. With Zack I am waiting to neuter until he is a year old and I hate to put him under just to remove these teeth. Can I wait or do I need to do it now?

Play lots of tug...encourage lots of bitey face with other dogs...and wriggle the baby teeth daily...give harder chews...rope toys with supervision. These are all things that can help, esp the wriggling and the tug.

I would consult your vet too. I did not know this but Belle has a major over bite our vet feels it is because her canines came out too late and they hooked backwards thus not allowing proper growth. I never had any issues with any of my other dogs, but that was the first I had heard this. You may just want to check with them to be safe IMO .

If they are loose, it is possible to pull them without anesthesia. Just like a kid.
There isn't any root to speak of.
