New "Groomer has it" show by Animal Planet

One guessed Great Pyr which I imagine feels pretty similar if you're blindfolded.  I was impressed at the Boston terrier.  There's alot of small smooth coated dogs that probably feel like a Boston.

I could have done without the constant cliches, "Every dog has it's day" "Go back to the doghouse with your tail between your legs"  "Somedays you're the dog and sometimes you're the hydrant".  Sheesh, enough already!  LOL!

Those yarn dogs were pretty cool.  I really liked Jorge's groom best.  I love how he made it smooth.  The other celebrity groomer's dog was good too, but not my favorite.  It didn't seem quite as creative.  I HATED the pink one though.  It looked stupid.  Way too much color!  I even liked "Flower" better and it was pretty bad.  I was surprised how many people guess the bull dog wrong.  Feel its face and its a dead giveaway.

I thought the yarn dogs were cool too, I never even heard of them before. I liked the yarn dog that was cut like a poodle w/ a little pink. It was cute. I HATED Flower and the all pink dog. I really liked that show. I'm into "reality drama" lol!

I agree, the yarn dogs ARE cool.  Groomers have just recently started hosting "model dog competitons".  All the groomers have an equal shot at grooming the "perfect" dog, which has no structural faults, behavior problems, or maintenance of any sort.  Of course, you have to brush them for hours ahead of time.  And they are obviously a "one time thing", LOL.  I just got a sample Groom Team USA magazine, and on the cover there was a photo of winning contestants with their model dogs.  There was a Wheaten, Schnauzer, Two Poodles, and a Westie.  If the price goes down (they are about $100 now), I would like to buy several to display popular pet clips in my salon.

That would be fun. I love the idea of model dogs, but.... I can't afford a $100 stuffed animal, LOL. I enjoyed the cheesy drama, but I really thought the two show people had a really unfair advantage, with IDing dogs on structure alone. Show people know structure a lot better than a regular groomer, IME.
