Zymox drops and rinse?

I use the drops on Billy ALL the time (both with and w/o hydrocortisone).  But I never use their cleaner and I don't do that at the same time anyway.

 I clean after a bath or after his ears may be damp for some reason (or dirty). 

I use the drops any time he shows discomfort or 'rubs' his ears.  And I wouldn't clean them *after* -- you want the med to stay in his ears. 

If it were me, I wouldn't do both at the same time.  I wouldn't want to irritate before nor do I want to interfere with the junk evaporating and leaving the ear and I don't want to wash the drops out after.  So not at the same time for me.

Thanks Callie I put the drops in for now and see how he does.  The slightest change in his diet and he will get yeasty ears and that is what has happened.  They have been clean for SOOOO long now and this is a huge bummer,  especially as the environmental allergies are just ratcheting up.

I would love to use the homemade purple one but not when I have to wrestle him to put anything in his ears, his ears a giant so you would use a lot and he goes berserk when its over.   No where and no way it happens inside and since he does this rolling thing afterwards I don't want to do it outside where he rolls in the grass/weeds etc that he is allergic to.  I have been using a cleaner that the vet gave us but I'm not impressed so thought I would try this one.

The Zymox products seem really good -- I wasn't dissing it's effectiveness at all (Billy is as bad as *I* am when he gets water in his ears - all the world STOPS until we get it out!!!).

But man, the Zymox drops work SOOOOO awesome and I think you'll find if you use it once a week you won't GET nasty ears (and remember Mr. Billy was the ALLERGY KING!!!)

When we took him four years ago the *reason* we took him was because his nasty allergy ears were swollen shut - we thot he was deaf and figured we'd 'been there done that' and could handle it.  But we got the ears back 'healthy' -- and the Zymox works awesome for that.

Where do you get Zymox drops from?

 cheapest online place was Vetamerica.com - for me their shipping made the total the cheapest that may be because I bought the rinse to, not sure.

I will just add that this dog will let you do anything to him - but good God don't put drops in his ears!!!!!!!!
