Should I take her to the vet?

Im not sure if I should take Lillie to the vet.  She is 16 months old and has yet to come in heat.  My other 2 setters I have had came in exactly at a year old.  And I just looked it up on google to see about dog heats and it said if the female hasnt had her first one but 14 months that they should be taken to the vet to get checked out.

So do I need to take Lillie to the vet to get checked out?

When in doubt let the Vet check it out ;o)

I'm not sure if it's just because I have a toy breed... but Kayla's first heat was barely existant. Tiny little brownish/redish spots were left on the bed where she slept. If you have dark furniture or carpeting I could totally see someone not noticing it.

    Lillie's not getting spayed?

Debating on if I want to try to show her or not.  If I do some how get to show her she will be spayed afterwards. I have no interest in breeding right now.

Aw how fun!! :o) Wish I could have a show pup... not ready for it yet tho.

Check out her nipples and private area... if the pigment of the skin is discolored and flared that is a sign.
