• sheltiemom Posted : 1/19/2007 8:25:42 PM Leroi.   Just make sure to contact the Canadian Kennel Club once you have had the chip done, so that they will update your file with the chip # along side the tattoo #.   They "may" ask for a bar code as well, so remember to ask your vet for 1.   ( there are usually 4-5 bar codes provided with each chip, to be able to register the # with multiple registries)   In the Greater Ottawa area, I believe that you also get a discount for your yearly license if your pet is chipped AND neutered, so you might want to ask your vet for "another bar code" for the township as well, or proof of having the chip done .      0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
