    E-Collar

I just put an e-collar on dweezil ... one of the saddest things i've EVER SEEN.  she keeps running into things and trying to flip it off.  poor baby ... i hope she doesn't hurt herself while i'm at work?

Is it a hard or soft one?

A hard one...I saw one of the puppies in puppy class come in with the soft one and it was flipped back and looked like it probably didn't do anything....

I'm at work ... called my dad (he's home) to check on Dweezil -- she had undone the tabs on the e-collar again ... even though i had taped the outside.  so, i told him to take it off because she was chewing through it and didn't want her to swallow any pieces.  He is covering the incision with a tissue and spraying more bitter apple on it, because before I had just been rubbing some on with my finger to keep from getting it into the incision, so there probably was not much left by the time she decided to lick herself.  ... now, i'm not going to be able to tell if she's doing it when my dad leaves ... but I'm going to sit with her a long while later when I get home, and if she is still licking herself (btw, still no signs of infection -- spayed day before yesterday) -- what else should i try?

    How about a Bite-Not collar?

I ran across [linkhttp://www.petsleeves.com]these[/link] the other day. The biggest problem is they have to be taken off for potty breaks.

Dog.com is listed as a retailer for the bite not collars. [:)]
