    Cancer? Help!

One of my dog's, a bagle, roughly about 6 years old I'd say is developing some bumps on her body. It may be important to note that she is overweight, it has been suggested to me that it may just be fatty deposits. She has one on the outside of her ear, purtruding out of her hair with hair growth on it. Also seems to have gotten bigger to me. She recently developed a new one on her addomen region, smaller than the one on her ear. The one on her ear, is not rock hard, on the contrary it is kind of soft. Then the one on her abdomen is harder. My vet waved it off as "just nothing." Yet, I don't think so...but I may be just paramoid, as my other beagle died just about 3 years ago. My younger dog, a 2 yr. old JRT, is always licking her in those areas. From what I hear, dogs can sniff out cancer. I have no idea what to do. Can somebody help? Please.

Your vet should have aspirated the lumps to see whether they were cancerous or just fatty lumps; that's what my vet does when I find a lump on Jessie. It only takes a few minutes and is done without anesthesia. If your vet isn't willing to do this then I would find another vet. Jessie has a lump on her abdomen that is a fatty lump and it is hard. Good luck and keep us posted about the lumps.

I ditto Jessies post. Second opinion with another vet.
