Poor Tyler has an abcess

Is it ok for the infection not to be completely gone then first?  That concerns me.....

Yes, it's fine for the extraction to take place and the antibiotics to even begin at the same time.  We did it many times.  The key is to get the infected tooth out and that will go a long way in clearing up the infection. The antibiotics will finish it up though.  You're getting a few days headstart on it, so Tyler should be just fine.

I really WISH that I could go ahead and get him nuetered at the same time and save him anesthesia at least once, but, first, poor guy is already hurting at one end, sure don't want to make BOTH ends sore, and second, it isn't in the budget to do both right now.

That would be sooo great if you could do both and honestly, I bet his mouth won't bother him much at all after the extraction.  It seems like it would be less expensive to do both because of only paying for anesthesia once but maybe not.

I have to have surgery on my thyroid in April and was thinking "hmmmm, is there anything else they could take care of while I'm under?.."  I don't think they'd agree to add in a tummy tuck for a reduced fee though [:D] - darn it!
