Raised bumps with black center

• Raised bumps with black center Christine Dacanay Posted : 6/13/2006 5:18:54 PM My beagle has small bumps with black dots in the center along his tummy area. When we called the vet they said it's allergy season and this could be a result of it. They advised we give him benadryl. We did, but im concerned since the bumps look like they are growing. This is my first dog and I don't want to freak out. Have any of you experienced this.. any advice ..please? • cakana Posted : 6/13/2006 5:33:57 PM First off - welcome and your puppy is adorable.  Unfortunately, I've had a LOT of experience with allergies in my dog and yes, the black spots are a probably a sign of that.  The benadryl will likely help, but you might also want to bathe him more frequently during this time.  Once or twice a week, won't hurt.  Use a hypoallergenic shampoo and see if that helps.   Are the black dots on the tummy the only sign you see?  If you start to see the skin turn red or crusty, you'll want to make a trip into the vet for a better check. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
