Throwing Up...

My dog Max who is a seven year old Australian cattledog/shepherd mix seems to have a very sensitive stomach. He throws up almost every day and often has diarreah (spelling?). [&o] I don't know what is causing this. He has been like this for as long as we have had him (since he was one). He does lick the carpet and the floors A LOT. I don't know if he is licking something up and that is making him sick or if it could be the type of dog food he has. It seems like no matter what kind of food I try, he still gets sick.

Does anybody have any ideas on what could be causing this or what type of food would be good to try? We are using Ol Roy right now, which all three dogs absolutely love.

Awe,,,,I love your dogs pictures.
Okay, something is making him sick, so I would sure start with his food. Old Roy is NOT helping to keep him healthy, its not the best food around anyway...but it is probably making him ill. You need to go to a pet store and get him some other food. Our Ollie used to get sick a lot, but he had allergies..started after getting his vaccinations. He was on Iams and then went to other food. We now feed him Eagle Pack. something that has the chicken, beef or lamb for the first ingredient.
Does he get heartworm pills? Maybe that is what is making him ill? They used to make Ollie sick for many days after having his.
Have you ever cooked real chicken and rice or something like that for him? Its likely that it would NOT make him sick. You have to try something.
Can you imagine going thru life throwing up everyday? I would rather die first!

Certainly Ole Roy is NOT the best food for any dog. As soon as you feed it in one end the other end expells it quickly.

Have you had your Max at the vet for tests to see what is causing him to be this way. He may have a weakened immune system.
Once any health issues have been ruled out, I would say it is the food you are feeding him. Some dogs do not do well on CORN at all.
