carpet powder making dog sick

Hi All!!

Today I decided to use the new carpet fresh powder stuff that I bought and it treats pet odor as well. I used as directed and vacuumed it up very good being that I also have 2 small children but when I let my puppy chico out he was running around and ended up licking the carpet as he usually does while he sniffs around being a pup and all. He then went to get a drink and next thing I know he was throwing up clear liquid. Can this stuff be dangerous to his health and what should I do to try to prevent him from licking the carpet and sniffing around besides watching him like a hawk. Any advice would be appreciated.

I would call the 800 number on the carpet powder and explain what happened and see what they say to do.

Second, there are lots of stuff that are made to be used around pets, non-toxic stuff, I'd get that for next time.

Does it have anywhere on the product in TEENSY writing indicating that it should not to be used around pets?? I know that the Swiffer solution has a tiny tiny warning that pets should not be around when it is used. Is your puppy ok now?

Thanks for the advice ladies I willdefinitely check into some other types of products. Thankfully chico is ok now and being his usual crazy self.
