frontline plus vs k-9 advantix

• frontline plus vs k-9 advantix trent porth Posted : 5/21/2006 8:38:22 PM any opinions on which is better for fleas k-9 advantix or frontline plus? ticks are not a problem for us but the fleas are well established. i am currently using the k-9 advantix on my two dogs, and it knocks the fleas out quickly, but they seem to come back in about two to three weeks. • puggylover Posted : 5/21/2006 9:39:26 PM I had the same problem with Frontline Plus.  I would put it on the dogs and maybe 2 weeks later they would be full of fleas.  I called the vet and the recommended Advantage.  I just put it on Friday so don't know how long it will last, but right now no fleas.  Frontline works great in some places.  I just moved from SC and I used Frontline and it always worked, but as soon as I moved to Orlando it didn't work at all.  0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • KodaPap Posted : 5/22/2006 2:02:07 AM I'll basically second what puggy said.  I was living in Delaware and using Frontline topspot and my dog got fleas.  It took several days of capstar (daily flea treatment, strong stuff) and cleaning the apt. every day for about 2 weeks to get rid of them.  Afterwards I switched to Advantix.  I think it depends on your location and you might get an idea from your vet and see if they see one working better than the other. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
