In response to all your support and best wishes, I address you with not so good news....
Max went in for a biopsy on May 8 and I received the results on May 16 that revealed melanoma. I was informed that it was a very aggressive cancer and without invasive surgery, the cancer would spread, if it hadn't already, to his vital organs and brain.
Given his age and the lack of a quality life he would have for such little time, I decided the best thing to do for Max was to put him at rest. He was put to rest Wed. May 17. My heart will be with him always.

Thanks again for your warm wishes.

Sherry - So very sorry to hear this news.  I'd hoped that the news would be something better, but I absolutely understand the decision you made and as difficult as it must've been, how loving it was for Max.  Know that he's in a better place and will suffer no longer.  Hugs to you and your family.
