Gas Ex???

My dalmation/lab mix has been farting sooo bad lately and it bothered everyone but it really bothered my mom. I went early in the morning to babysit and when I got back she said she had given him Gas Ex. I avent heard of this ever being given to a dog and was wondering if this is something she should keep giving him.

] I've never heard of giving a dog that; it may be okay but it might also be bad for your dog. Always ask a vet before giving a dog products made for humans. She shouldn't give the dog anymore until you check with your vet. Try giving him a little yogurt instead; it usually helps. The gas was most likely caused by something he ate. Has he been given any table scraps lately, or did you change to a different brand of dog food? If you change his food suddenly it can cause gas and stomach upset. If you are changing his food it should be done gradually, over a period of about a week.

I don't think I would give her Gas-X. My vet does allow me to give my dog some over the counter human products, try a Pepto-Bismol Pill. I have a 13 lb dog so i give her half. My vet said that is fine to give her anytime she has gas or even diarrhea [

Duke used to have really terrible gas and digestion problems. We took a road trip earlier this month and he was stinking up my husband's truck almost the entire way[:-] . As soon as I got home I went online and I found a great product for him called Bert's Zyme by B-Naturals. It has natural enzymes and it helped almost right away.
