    Cloged Tear Duct??

Missy and I are new the forum.  I adopeted her 5 years go (she is 6 now) from a shelter- As far as I can remember her eyes are watery - the vet said her tear ducts are cloged and has had them flushed..

Even afeter she has them flushed a few days later her eyes tear up again as if she were crying. It doesnt seem to bother her she is a happy "spoiled brat" doggie but I have to clean her pretty face daily.

Can anyone help? or now more information on what is causing this.

Is it worse at any particular time of year? Have they checked her for turned in eyelashes/eyelids or lashes growing on the eyeball itself?
ETA: she looks a bit shar pei-ish in your avatar photo so definitely rule out entropion as a cause...very common in Shar Pei and the closely related Chow.

The shelter had her down as "sheperd mix" ????? I cant even tell what breed she is - I just know she is my baby, my little angel- even though she can be a little- you know what.

The tears are not too bad - it does happen around spring time or summer- she is an indoor dog but spends most of her day outdoor in the back yard- she loves to run behind the trees and the plants- I dont know if she may have allergies... Some days are worse than others but for the most part- her eyes get slightly watery.

She is 37 pounds, 6 years old and has had 2 surgeries - one for to remove an enlarged anal sac and the other was about a mohth ago - she chiped her tooth and had to have it removed.

My friend's dog has a similar issue. She took her to three vets, finally one said her eyes are simply too deeply  inset in her head and will collect dust. She just needs to wipe them daily with a swab and saline. It's worked wonders. It's funny though how many differing diagnosis she received (one vet even wanted to run an allergy test, the skin prick type with grid on the side of the dog!).
Thankfully it was something very simple.
