HELP - Puppy HATES Derma in his food!!!

I started to add a very small amount of the Derma Liquid Fish Oil in my puppy's kibble to help with his dry skin.  I noticed that it had a very strong fishy smell, and apparantly so did Winston .  He won't eat his food when I put the Derma on it, he will just quietly sit next to his bowl and stare at me with a sad look on his face!!!  He makes me want to grill him a steak!!  Any advice on how to "cover up" the smell or a substitute?  Someone recommended olive oil, but Derma has more nutrients....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

What type of feed are you feeding him?  I am feeding mine Authority Harvest Baked lamb, I also give him organic first pressing olive oil and organic yogurt.  Does your dog need all the extra nutrients in the Derma?  Maybe you need a better kibble.

I am feeding him Cloudstar's holistic kibble - ingredients listed below.  I posted last week asking for members' thoughts on this kibble and the consensus was that it was a good food, but it didn't have enough fat content - add that to Winston's current dry skin problem and the recommendation was to add Derma to his food - which leaves me to my new problem...lol...wow, that was a mouthful....any thoughts though, would be great...thank you!

You could try a fish oil supplement that comes in a gelatin capsule like DermCaps. I just drop the capsule in Jessie's food. There is no fish odor or taste since the oil is in the capsule.

You could mix the fish oil in cottage cheese.  That's what I do with Jake.  He takes EFA Vites and he hates it so I squeeze the liquid onto some cottage cheese, mix it up and he eats all of it.  I do this every morning after he eats.  If you don't want to use cottage cheese, try yogurt.
