    Opinions?

Hello!  I have a beautiful beagle/sheltie mix named Maybel.  I have been noticing that every once in a while she will (just slightly) bob her head from side to side.  She is not doing this on purpose, of course.  I was wondering if this has something to do with her nervous system and if it could be the onset of a bigger problem such as seizures in the future.  Has anyone experienced or seen this before?

By bobbing you do you mean like a head tilt from side to side? Or is it more severe like a sudden twitch or jerk? Is she moving her head up and down or side to side? Is there any other motion you notice in her body along with the head bobbing? What is she doing at the time this happens, sleeping, eating, looking at you, looking at something else...?

She is looking at me most of the time.  Sometimes she will have here head on her front paws. It is very slight movement.  Her head is moving from left to right.  Like a bobble head but very, very slow!  It is just her head.

Sounds like a typical head tilt that many dogs do.

Check out this thread and you will see this is normal for several dogs.

I don't know...It's not like dog's do when they hear a sound they don't understand.  It's very slight...she's shaking her head from left to right...like a person with Parkinson's disease...she shakes without meaning to...but she doesn't do it all the time...It seems to me as she get older she might or it might evolve into something more severe OR it may be nothing at all...Just curious!

I guess it's hard to say what it is without seeing it first hand.

Do you mean it's not just one tilt it's like she's doing it repetitively? If you have any worry at all I think a call to the vet might be a good idea.
