Once the stain is visible, it is set. You can use a product such as Eye Envy:

Hopefully, you have taken the correct steps to eliminate future staining. The staining can sometimes be attributed to yeast overgrowth in the gut. I found that eliminating grains and high glycemic carbohydrates from my shih tzu's diet did the trick. Also adding a good probiotic to the diet will help tremendously.
