Question about colds

• Question about colds Haleigh Posted : 1/1/2007 12:24:09 PM I have a really bad cold right now-Everytime I move I feel like I'm spinning and my my head feels like it's being constantly being pumped with hot air. So basicly...sinus congestion. Can I give this to Joy? She sleeps with me almost every night, and I don't want her to get sick. Thanks. • Misskiwi67 Posted : 1/1/2007 1:05:12 PM Viral infections (with a few notable exceptions) are seldom transferred between species. I wouldn't worry about it. Do try to keep up with the regular routine of hand washing etc before and after petting your dog. It wouldn't hurt to wash your bedding more frequently while you're ill as well. • dvet Posted : 1/1/2007 2:33:37 PM they say (whoever they are) that the human and canine virus will not affect the other species....But I used to get calls in the winter on clients who have a cold and their dog has "cold symptons"..they would ask me if it were possible and what should they treat their pups "cold" with...Their kids were also sneezing and coughing so I would ask them what their pediatrician perscribed, ie if  antihistamines, they could give some to their dog...And amazingly  they would answer that they didn;t call their pediatyrician cause the "kids will get overt it"  I guess it is a atter or priorities 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
