10 month old still hanging on to puppy teeth...

my 10 mo female doxie is scheduled to have her 2 fangs on her up jaw removed-her adult 'fangs' came out so she now has 2 sets side by side.

Vet said its best to have them removed, cause they could cause teeth probably later...im wondering should i cancel and let them fall out on their own or go ahead with the surgery? Vets says if they havent fallen out by now they probably wont.

Any opinons on what to do? and if i do go ahead with surgery, how do i prep my dog for a speedy  hassle free recovery? should i be giving her any additional vitamins, probiotics etc.....thanks  guys

I would try wiggling the  "baby teeth" a couple times a day to see if youy can loosen them.. Don;t know if you have had her spayed or not but they can be easily removed at that time..I think if you  are aware that they are there i would just daily wiggle them till eventuall they can be removed..just an opinion but I would not risk anestheia for such a simple procedure..

Does she have something really hard to chew on?  That usually help get them to fall out.  They make special teething things or you can give a rolled up wash cloth (soak it in broth and freeze it)... [:)]
