Lump on my dog's nose~ Help, please!

I have a three year old Weimaraner, and he has developed some strange bump/lump on his nose.  When we tried to touch it, he got a little agitated, and started to have a really runny nose.  It was runny on the right side of his nostril, and gooey mucus was coming out of the left side.

He's also been getting these marks on his face.  I have another dog, but whenever Cyrus (weimy) and Hulk (whippet/lab) get into fights, Cyrus usually prevails.  I highly doubt that Hulk could have bitten Cyrus without getting a scratch on him.  At first I thought it was mud, but when I put a wet washcloth on it, it didn't soften up.  I then decided to pick it out gently, and realized they were scabs when I pulled.  He has numerous marks on his face, and one is relatively deep.

Please help.  Any information is appreciated.  Attached is a picture of the lump/bump on his nose..

I'm not an expert by any means, so I can't say for sure what it could be. My only suggestion would be to take him to get it checked out by a vet, especially if it seems to be agitating him. Good luck, and let us know the results!

Welcome to idog; I agree with Miss Mandy, you need to take your dog to a vet. Dogs can get nasal cancer but that wouldn't cause the other marks on his face; from the picture the marks look like small pustules or blisters. Jessie had some pustules on her nose and muzzle a few years ago and it was a skin infection. Let us know what the vet says.

I agree -- time for the vet.  It could have started innocently enough and yet may have become infected.  The nose area is so sensitive because of the Jacobsen's organ and the teeth you don't really want to let that go.
