    Conditioner too?

I have recently heard that a lot of people use not only shampoo but condition on their dogs as well! I use oatmeal shampoo and my dogs always feel silky and nice after each bath. What fo you think of condition? does anyone use it?

I really like Cloud Star's Buddy Wash and Buddy Rinse. I use conditioner, because I wash my dogs quite frequently. It makes them softer, and keeps them from drying out.

If I had a long haired dog, I'd use conditioner to help prevent tangles.

I use conditioner on my dogs each bath, which is about every 3 weeks on average. It makes their coats extremely soft and shiny, the smell lasts longer, moisturizes their skin, & with Tango (long hair) it keeps down static. She never gets mats or tangles, even when I didn't use conditioner, but I'm sure it helps with this too on a lot of dogs. I use EarthBath shampoos & conditioner on my dogs.

Conditioner doesn't seem to make much of a difference to Eevee's coat so I just use an oatmeal and tea tree oil shampoo... it makes worlds of difference to Shippo's coat though, as he has long hair.

I always use a conditioner on Toby after shampooing...... It prevents matting and makes it easier to brush and blow dry afterwards....

Angel has very sensetive skin so we use oatmeal shampoo and conditioner on her. The conditioner helps get the knots out.

You dont' need to use conditioner, but on some dogs its really beneficial!  My Mom's long haired shih tzu DEFINATELY needs conditioner to keep her coat smooth and help with tangles/matts.  Other dogs don't need it.

I found an olive oil soap for dogs, it lathers up really well and is for sensitive skin,
I found it at a market/stall/fair and now don't no where to get some more but it was fantastic and kept the fleas at a bay.Their coats felt really soft.

I use Solid Gold Shampoo and Conditioner for Trudy. Long hair needs it.

Do you recommend solid gold Shampoo for a dog with possible skin allergeries.. I'm def. going to use conditioner from now on.

My Trudy is QUEEN of allergies. She sees a dermatologist/vet. every six months. She had the skin testing about two years ago. Now I give her a shot every week from her vial of antigen. She takes an antihistamine every day also. She eats Nat. Balance Fish. WHEW. She was SOOOOOO bad for a while and it is finally all better!

SO, for Trudy, the Solid Gold shampoo and  cond. works. BUT, as with food, every dog is different. Solid Gold is actually for sensitive skin. You can try it and see how it works. But, there are so many causes of allergy, there could be many reasons for itching.
