Yorkie Grooming

Do you let your Yorkie's hair grow long or keep is short? If you let it grow long, do you groom your dog often? Thanks! • kennel_keeper Posted : 3/16/2006 6:18:06 AM Welcome Samantha!   Yorkies need to be groomed (bath, trim, nails, etc) about every 4 - 6 weeks, but should be brushed daily. It is important to get them into the groomers once they have received all their vaccines so they can get used to grooming. As far as your choice of  "fur-styles", that is up to you. We have several clients who like to keep their babies short and several that keep them long. It's a lifestyle preference. If your willing to do what it takes to keep them "mat-free" and like them long, or if you just don't have the time to do daily brusing, etc then you might want to consider clipping them down.
