One of the ladies on the golden retriever forum posted this recipe an I decided to make some for Moose. And he LOVES them.
Pumpkin Treats
Preheat over to 300, lightly grease cookie sheet (I just used the Crisco spray
1-15 oz can solid packed pumpkin
3/4 cup cry cream of wheat or dry cream of rice
1/2 cup dry powdered milk.
Mix well and drop by about 1/2 tablespoon onto the cookie sheet and bake 15-20 minutes. Smaller ones take less time, larger ones a little more time. I used a heavy duty commercial cookie sheet and baked mine 25 minutes. By making them small I got about 4 dozen. He gets one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The recipe did not call for storing them in the fridge, but I have them in air tight container in the fridge.
