Kennel Cough: No sign on improvement after antibiotics?

Hi, so here['s the dealio. I have this precious 9 week old shepherd/lab mix. I got her about a week and a half ago and she came with kennel cough. I took her to the vet and she gave me a 10 day worth of Clavamox. Her coughing appears worse and her eyes and nose are running from when she's hacking.I just want to be fully certain that she is actually dealing with kennel cough, She eats and goes to the bathroom regularly. I just need some consolation that my poor puppy will be okay,

I'm sorry your pup isn't better.  I'd call the vet and tell them that she's coughing worse and describe the other symptoms and see what they advise.  It's good that she's eating and eliminating ok.

If it were me I'd ask them to do a heart workup -- this is a pup and you have no real way of knowing anything.  It can be SO hard to tell the difference between a "cough" and a "heart cough".

Aww poor pup, I would talk to the vet for sure, keep her as quiet as you can. Keep us posted.

Hey! Now this is just my personal story but, My puppy had a lingering cough. I was told that it was just a kennel cough. I  didn't like how long it stuck around, so I took her to the vet a second time to get checked out. It turns out that she had a tapeworm  and it was causing her to cough pretty harshly. Like I said, that is just my personal experience, but I would definitely get her to the vet for another look so they could better assist. Also sending warm wishes your way! Hope puppy is feeling better soon! :)
