Do you need help with Topknot/ear bows, or the collar (frilly, large, looks like one of those things for homecomming) ones? I am an expert bow maker with the topknot ear-bows, but I can't do the big ones. (they look too squished to me).
Here's my "recipe" to make ear-bows.
-Take a piece of ribbon,(i'd say no more than 6 inches). Decide how long you want it.
-curve it around like a breast cancer ribbon and pinch it where the ends meet. Pinch the top of the "awareness ribbon" and where the ends meet (the X)
There are different meathods with tying them:
-put the rubber band between where the two ends meet and twist 2-3 times. (this won't give you a separate "hair tie" end, you'll just have to find it within the rubber band)
OR: (this is going to be really hard to explain)
Put the rubber band on a closed hemostat (or scissors- just make sure they aren't sharp). Then put the bow above where the rubber band is.
This next part is tricky.
Pull the rubber band up and over the top of the hemostats. (you will have one end of the rubber band on the bottom, below the bow, and one over the top above the bow.
flip the hemostats over, and take the bottom of the rubber band (on the other side) and take it up and over to the other side (the side with the ribbon.)
I personally like the first way, just because it's easier.
