    papules from grooming

I took my dog to PetSmart today to get groomed.  After he was finished, I noticed on the inside of his right ear flap are papules and a tiny cut.  He has had papules before and was treated with an antibiotic.  I'm wondering if he needs to be treated again.  I'm calling PetSmart tomorrow and requesting a refund.

Is it common for dogs to get papules after a groom?  Should I call the vet tomorrow?

I don't think they can appear that quickly.  If it was caused by the groomer, I'd think it would take a day or two to show up.  If your dog has fluffy ears, maybe the groomer just uncovered the papules and possibly the cut that had already been there.

My thoughts exactly.  What kind of dog do you have?  I really doubt the papules are from the grooming, and as for the cut, as long as its not serious, don't worry about it.  Most likely, your dog does not like his face and ears groomed.  Little nicks happen when dogs squirm.

The papules were more likely uncovered than caused by grooming. If the nick is on the same ear as the papules it could have because of them. If your dog has problems with papules on her ears let your groomer know when you drop her off so they know they might be there.
