Novartis Issue

How many of you know that Interceptor will be unavailable for the next few months due to problems with the plant? When I went in to pick up some KD for Honey 3 weeks ago a lady came in to get IOnterceptor for her dog and Heather told her they didn't have for her size dog and the had been notified they would not be able to get it "for the time being" that was all she knew.

I figured they had a machinery break down. But it has now been posted on one of my golden forums that there has been a serious problme not only with the animal meds but the human meds at that Neb. plant and it is shut down. Interceptor and I am thinking Sentinile, will be unavaible til at least the end of May, maybe longer.

I tried to get some more for Honey, but my vet was totally out. They have some new/fairly new HW prevention, but after ProHeart6 killed my Hunter 8 1/2 years ago, I do not want to try anything that has not been on the market at least 5 years. She has 4 tablest left so I am turly hoping they get the problem fixed before she runs out.

Novartis did have issues in one of their plants. All reports are that it was on the human side, yet the entire plant was shut down.

The plant is up & running again, & Interceptor is being shipped out to vets as it becomes available. I know this for a fact as our clinic recieved a shipment today.

MOST OF THE MEMEBERS ON THAT FORUM DO USE iNTERCEPTOR. oNE REPORTED YESTERAY THAT THE CLINIC SHE WORKS IN RECIEVED A SHIPMENT YESTERDAY WITH NO PROBLME. bUT ALL THE OTHERS WHO CALLED THEIR VETS WERE TOLD THEY HAD NO IDEA WHEN THEY WOULD BE GETTING A SHIPMENT.

ALSO TWO FROM CANADA SAID IT HAS NOT AFFECTED THEM UP THERE. i BELIEVE ONE SAID THEY HAD PLANT UP THER THA MAKES IT. i DO NOT KNOW IF THE PLANT IN NEB IS THE ONLY ONE IN THE STATES THT MAKES IT OR NOT. AND I SURE CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW SOME VETS HERE ARE ABLE TO GET AND OTHERS AREN'T.MAKES ME WONDER IF THEY ARE GETTING ELSE WHERE, OR IF THEY HAVE A LIST OF WHO GETS IT FIRST, ETC.

ONE OTHER THING, ONE OF THE MEMEBERS LIVES THERE AND DRIVES BY THE PLANT ON THE WAY TO WORK EVERY DAY AND SAID THER ARE CARS THER, BUT NOTHING LIKE WHAT SHOULD BE, AS LEAST AS OF YESTERDAY.

I DON'T KNOW IF THIS WILL WORK OR NOT, BUT THIS WAS POSTED ON THE GOLDEN FORUM.
