Heartworms and lyme desiease

You're likely right -- he may simply have walked over the Bridge himself to save you more pain ... they do love us like that!

My sympathies on your loss -- Boomer is young, healthy and has found his spot in the sun in the Meadow!  godspeed Boomer!

Thanks for all of your thoughts. Reading these kind words did bring out a few tears though. Not quite as many as when I was digging the hole to put my friend in to but reading these kind and sweet words did go straight to the heart. I know Boomer is better off now but I can't do much of anything that does not remind me of how he was always there to lend a helping hand and no matter how much he got in the way sometimes while I was working around the house he always managed to get a smile out of me and made me think about how precious the simple things in life really are. This morning was especially hard when it was time to go out and give him his medicine and he was not there.

This is really hard and all I can say is to please do what ever you can to keep your pets from ever getting Lyme. I have never seen anything that will destroy a pets life like this awful killer that will suck the life out of them like this one will. I don't know what the answer is but please do what you can to help in keeping them from getting Lyme, It is truly an awful killer.
