Dog vomiting with all dry food.

Well, she had all of the pancreas tests (including a recent pancreatic insufficiency test) and they are all fine. So, I am honestly not sure what to do at this point. She is no longer vomiting, but has lost weight. I added a small amount of dry food to her home cooked meals and her energy level has increased which is refreshing. The Vet wants to try a new home cooked diet and add metranilozal (?). If that does not stop the weight loss and harden her stool, the have numerous options including exploratory surgery. I keep hoping for negative results from all the bloodwork, because I really just want to know what is wrong with her :(

I would seriously tell you to consider the TCVM (Traditional Chinese Veteirnary medicine) - it can be incredible for stuff like this (even hardcore collitis and irritable bowel syndrome, etc.)  Feel free to email me (click the contact button to the right of my name) and I'll be happy to give you more information.  I'm not telling you to leave your vet, but rather to use this as "complimentary therapy" -- they typically help out in chronic cases and often have really good results.  I've seen incredibly good stuff.

I'm so sorry that she;s still not doing well and you haven't found the problem yet. Is the diet you're feeding her formulated to give her all the vitamins and minerals she needs?  Home cooked food does not have as many calories per cup as commercial dog food, so she may not be getting enough calories.
