Weepy eyes

    Weepy eyes

Sandy has really damp eyes. It almost looks like she's crying all the time. There's no discharge or redness. I can wipe her eyes with no issues but after 5 minutes, her eyes are damp again.

She gets raw food once a day and she's been on this diet for over a year. Her eyes have been this way for about 2 years. I'm not worried about it and it doesn't seem to bother her. But is there a way I can help dry the fur out and keep it from staining as she gets older?

Does she sneeze? Or just weepy eyes? I ask because Lemon, my kitty had an upper respitory infection and weepy eyes was part of the problem. Maybe its allergies too.

No sneezing or itching. Just weepy eyes. She gets it no matter where she is. I seriously think she's silently crying to herself. Lol. *shrugs*

I used "Clear Eyes" on Bonnie every morning.  I got it at Petsmart.

Does it work on dogs with colored faces?

Yes it works on all dogs, it is a clear liquid.  I used it every morning for Bonnie and also for April.

I am absolutely agree that "Clear Eyes" is the best way from Weepy eyes. We also use it for our bichones.

Often, adding a little primrose oil to the diet helps.

Well petsmart didn't have any clear eyes but I did pick a liquid solution for flushing out eyes. The bottle says its for removing dust and pollen from the eyes. Since I live in a VERY pollen and dusty area (lol) I figured I'd give it a shot. I've used it for two days, one drop in each in the morning (the bottle says 2 - 3 drops) and there hasn't been any weeping. Smile

Great job! I bet Sandy feels better too.

I didn't use the drops today (forgot. Lol) But there has been no weeping all day up until 7:30pm tonight. Her eyes seem clearer as well so she must have had dust in her eyes.
