Hey all,
It's been a while since I posted on here, but I am a little puzzled and no matter how much I search google I can't even find anything remotely similiar. A couple months back, my fiance and I noticed that Maddi had broken a molar, probably from chewing on a bone. The broken tooth, itself, isn't a huge concern since we've been to the vet multiple times since then for various issues, it doesn't seem to bother her and it doesn't appear any more damaged than the tip of it haven been broken off. To make a long story short, my fiance noticed a red spot on her tooth a week ago. I didn't think much of it since I couldn't see anything at all at a quick glance. Yesterday, he pointed it out again, and, to my suprise, there is something there. It looks like a piece of gum growing directly through the middle of her tooth. I have gently touched it without a reaction and she still eats normally, but I find it a little strange. We are headed to the vet tomorrow morning for this... plus a scratched eye, but I was just wondering if any of you have encountered or might know what the heck this is?
I know the picture isn't the greatest but she's not very patient while mom has her mouth pryed open.
Thanks for any insight,
Becky
