Chewing on house plants, tags, ribbons, etc.

The last two weeks or so Indy has had the need to chew. In the mornings she gets up and goes straight for the house plants or whatever she can find to chew on (except her bones, of course). She acts like her stomach is bothering her too. What might this be?

Try giving her some gasX or tums..

Becareful some house plants are dangerous to animals and ribbons in the stomach can kill too, a friends cat ate ribbons and they weren't able to save her life.

She could have a tooth bothering her (which can drain to the stomach -- could be both) or she could have some excessive gut bacteria, etc.

Frankly, I'd have the vet check it.  Chewing can stimulate digestive juices too -- she may feel the need for something in her tummy -- is this before *and* after she's fed?? Or does feeding stop the frenzy?

In addition (vet first -- other remedies later) you might want to try a chlorophyl based supplement from a health store like Barley Green.
