Feeding for Diarrhea question

Hi all. So Luna has had diarrhea for about 2 days. I'm going to start giving her boiled chicken and rice, the anti-diarrhea med hasn't done much... Just wondering how much to give her. She is 47 lbs and normally eats about a cup of dry 2x a day with little other stuff mixed in. And should I give her half rice, half chicken or more than the other? I don't have any pumpkin on hand but I do have some sweet potato. Will that help any? (I'll get some pumkin tomorrow)

I know about pepto and I'll try that if the food change doesn't help. (I just know I'll be wearing more than I get down her. lol) Any suggestions for giving a dog pepto? I have a baby med thingy I use. She does love food though so maybe there is a food that would disguise it well enough??

Pepto comes in pills! Something very valuable I've learned with Miss Sensitive Jewels.

I just do a big pot, couple of peices of chicken, fill it with rice. I'm not super concerned about nutrition, as much as I am about settling down her belly. I'll usually dump in a can of pumpkin (but didn't have it this time) and I put Emma's dairy free probiotic powder on top of each serving, only after it's cooled completely.

Two days is rough. Is this the norm for her?

I'd fast her for a day, then go with the chick/overcooked until it's mush rice. I wouldn't go longer than a day on that without improvement before calling the vet though.

No, this is very unusual for her. Her nickname is the iron stomach becasue she gets into everything and never has the slightest reaction. We live with my 3 yr. old nephew and shes always chewing his stuff too but I think what caused this was a hewing bone/treat I gave her. Stupid of me because I don't like to give them to my guys anyway but someone gave it to them for x-mas. But my other dog didn't have any upset stomach and the bones were from the same package. Might be something else entirely, not sure.

Luna is acting fine and drinking water. She threw up a few days ago but not for the last 2.

Would it be worth it to try the pepto tom.? Or should I wait and see how she does after eating tom. night?
