Poll: What does YOUR dog do?

Started working with Trudy in obedience and agility as a youngster as a good fundamental education and to socialize her.  Also to tire her out.  A tired puppy is a good puppy.  She did pretty well and so we started to compete. She has her CDs in both UKC and AKC, her CDC both her UKC novice (AGI) and open (AGII) titles, and her AKC novice agility standard (NA) and novice agility jump with weave (NAJ) title.  Onward and upward.

Last year we attended a gun dog clinic just out of curiousity and we got hooked. So far we have done one AKC hunt text and earned her first leg toward her junior hunt title.  We go for the second leg in a week.  woohoo.

She is also my official greeter and princess.

"Service dog" was our answer. We have in the house right now my wifes retired Guide, active Guide, and a Guide pup we are raising. It is kind of strange, because we really never have had any "pet" dogs, just her Guides. It is kind of different seeing all the things that "regular" dog owners go through that we do not have to deal with because the Guides are all specially bred, raised and trained to the highest standards. I guess we have been spoiled by having the best of what a dog can offer without any of the negatives that can occur.

I chose "performance" but really we JUST started agility a few weeks ago so it barely counts.

I choose "Other", cause I make with my dog trickdogging.

Piper is a field bred Springer, from a long line of dogs bred to hunt. For three months of the year , she hunts as often as we can get out. We train and practice during the rest of the year, but for nine months , she is an excellent companion dog. As she is better at hunting than I am, she has developed a cold stare to use on me when she has worked hard to flush a Pheasant near me and I miss it. Dogs do criticize their masters occasionally.
