Thanks for sharing.  I feel so badly for the certain breeds that get such a bad rap.  I know in some areas if you own a Rottie or Pitbull, you have to pay out insurance in that neighborhood.  Any breed of dog can bite and be aggressive if not trained and worked with, it's just the Rottie's and Pitbulls that get all the heat!.  Such a shame. • mrs1885 Posted : 6/29/2006 5:45:10 PM We have 5 and want a couple more.   Now we have Baron - 7 year old rottie that thinks he's a lap poodle. Candy - 6 year old rottie that adopted my son.  She was our first foster dog and we wound up adopting her because she fit in so perfect and bonded so tightly to our son. Tyson - 4 year old rottie (are you beginning to see a pattern?!).  He was also a foster that we wound up adopting. Murphy - almost 4 year old rat terrier.  He was badly abused by neighbors so we "adopted" him. Duval - 3 year old rat terrier.  Adopted from the same abusive neighbors.   I want a black and tan chi badly.  Hubby has always wanted a red female doxie.  We just moved from Florida to Tennessee and hubby is retired so he has all day long to spend with the dogs.  They are pretty spoiled in our house.  I have tried to get back to NILIF basics, but since I work and hubbys a push-over..... 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • Eileen Peterson Posted : 6/30/2006 7:09:49 PM We have only the one spoiled Lab! She's nine years old, ten in February, and her name is Kyra. She has a little problem my husband and I call, "Only Child Syndrome". She is very huffy and snotty when she has to share the house with another dog! Thankfully, she's never had to tolerate another dog in "her home" for more than a year. • All Dogs Heaven Posted : 7/2/2006 8:29:35 PM hmm... let's see... I have to count... We have 6 personal dogs.. Plus our rescue dogs... BlackJack's our 12 yr old BorderCollie mix Jerry's our JRT 3yrs old Buddy is our first rescue dog... sheltie/cocker, also about 3yrs old Ben is our flatcoated retriever, who was another rescue pup, just 1 yr now Emma is our rescue who was pregnant, she's a spitz/golden mix about 2-3yrs old and her son, Angel, who we revived at birth, worked on for 1 1/2hrs to breathe/eat, DOB 3/8/06   Then we have our rescues in house: Curly (penned, under observation)  Australian Shep mix Conner, Leonberger mix, 2yrs old Gwennie,  Conner's sister Joey, Cocker spaniel, about 7 mos Amber, beagle... stray, possibly abused, def neglected, hw+ under treatment (may have her forever home this week, if all goes well!) and we have 3 puppies left from our recent rescue litter, lab mixes about 14 wks old (one is joining her forever family tomorrow) so that's.... 14 do they count as "owned"?) 2 basset mixes in foster 1 husky mix in foster 1 other beagle in foster   Anyone want to add a puppy or dog to their clan/pack???     call us! ~ Julia 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
