Luke has a stainless Boomerang for his ID tag. I don't know for sure that this was bought for him even, but I think so because it's small. If I did get it for him, it's a little over a year old, and it still looks good as new. If I bought for someone else originally, well, it's even older. I put my last name, home and cell numbers, and address. I figured his name wasn't really going to be all that helpful in locating his home, as where if he's really close by, they might know the last name, and they could definitely look the last name. That method also means it doesn't matter who wears what tag. We used to change collars much more than we do now, and had a dog who would lose tags. It was easier to have extras around, and it didn't matter what dog it was put on. One of the other dogs actually, rather than go and buy her a crappy one from the pet store until we got a boomerang for her, was wearing the old tag off another dog. Luke also has a county license, rabies tag, microchip tag, and dog park tag, so there's lots of ways to try to find where he's from.
