Firework Safety Tips
With Independence day fast approaching us humans are looking forward burgers, hot dogs, swimming, parties and of course, fireworks. However, are four legged family members, our dogs, may not be as happy as we are about the 4th. Sadly, the highest reports of lost pets happens this weekend.
Here are some helpful tips to keep you dog safe.

1. Most important, just leave them at home. Dogs do enjoy family and being out but on the 4th most families end up at firework displays and that can really freak out your dog. Remember their ears so much more sensitive than ours and even the most calm, cool dog can get upset and possibly break loose.

2. Should they accidently get out, make sure your dog has all the proper ID tags on their collar just in case.

3. When you go out, put the television, radio, fans or air conditioner on, anything to help dull the sounds of the fireworks.

4. If you do have a dog that is very sensitive to the noise consult your vet for a possible tranquilizer to help take the edge off. Also, a good walk early in the day can help tire out your pet and help them stay calmer.

5. Some of these products can really help.
