Dog

As a pet lover, you are no doubt looking for new and creative ways to spoil your dog. The little creature is your constant companion, so it's no wonder that you want to give it the best of everything. Here are some creative ways that you can spoil your dog a bit extra - but only occasionally:

  • Get a New Bed -- Is your dog's bed a bit old? Rather than throwing another blanket on top, why not get a new bed? Essentia's natural dog beds are made with hypoallergenic materials that are firm and supportive for your dog - important if the pooch is aging. A good bed will help them to be comfortable at night, and can prevent back and joint problems.
  • Bake Treats --  Using treats to train the pooch is a good way to help them learn quickly, and you can use treats to spoil the dog. You can bake your own dog treats, and give them to the dog as a little treat. Make sure that you use the dog treats properly, and they can help you to teach your dog to be a better pet.
  • Give a Massage -- This may sound odd, but pet massages are no joke. You can actually help to prevent injuries and strains, so you may want to consider learning how to give the dog a little pet massage. It will help to keep your dog's joints strong as he ages, and can even prevent arthritis and structural problems - very common in certain larger breeds of dogs.
  • Build a Dog House -- A multi-tiered dog house can be quite expensive, especially if you have a large dog. However, you can turn old chicken coops, play pens, and dog houses into a fancy, large dog house for your pooch to run around in. It will take time and effort, but it's worth it to spoil the dog.
  • Set Up a Puppy Pool -- Got some puppies that need to cool down in the summer time? Set up your own puppy pool by turning an old Jacuzzi or hot tub into a place to splash and play around. The heat of summer will pass you by without leaving your puppy panting and overheating on the porch, and it will be absolutely adorable to see the little dog running around sopping wet. If you can give him a bath at the same time, you have found the key to keeping Fido clean!
  • Bring the Dog Inside --If the weather outside turns cold, why not bring the poor dog inside? As long as he's not a full-sized breed like a Rottweiler or a Golden Retriever, you should be able to find a space for the dog in your laundry room or garage. It will help to keep them out of the cold, and will help them to feel more a part of your family.

Your pet is another member of your family, so show them your love - just like you'd do with your kids, spouse, and siblings. You can give your dog a little extra spoiling, and it will make a difference in their life!
