Willow has her own bed made up in our room-which she loves. It's a large laundry basket. She seems to feel safe when in it. She already has a favorite blankie. It's the one we took with us when we went to rescue her. Last night she seemed to be having nightmares. She would howl and whimper. But every time I got up and checked on her-she was sound asleep. I just sat for a few moments each time rubbing her head and talking sweetly to her. This morning when my hubby-Mark got up for work he put Willow on the puppy pad. She did really good! Her favorite treat we found that she likes are (Goldfish) So every time she goes on the puppy pad we give her a few treats and praise her. Her little tail wiggled! So after all that Mark laid her in the bed with me. She nuzzled right up to me! It made my heart melt! I just laid there and loved on her until we both fell back to sleep. It seemed to have helped us bond. Willow was a lot calmer when she woke up. I put her on the puppy pad and she did a good pee-so more goldfish lol. She is still going to her hidie hole and that's OK. But she is coming out more often and is now wanting to play with some toys. The Chihuahua's are not as playful with her today. They seem to be watching and observing her more than anything else. Each day brings new progress. And that makes me happy :-).
