Hello, I have a 3 year old King Charles Spaniel.  In May I noticed she was limping when we went on walks and I took her to the vet who said she had a dislocated knee on the right hind leg.  She had her surgery on June 6th.  Went to followup checkups and the vet said everything is o.k.  ...She never stopped limping though...I asked the vet and he said she needed a little more time for healing...I waited a month and took her back she was/is still limping...he said he thought she had learned to walk this way because of her previous injury....waited a couple of weeks and took her back again...this time a different vet was on duty and she obviously had not read my dogs file because she just kept going on and on about how there was nothing wrong with her hind leg...the next time I called the vet office I told the receptionist that I didn't want to bring my dog in because it was obvious to me the previous visit no on had even read the file, I had left my dog at the office all day this time "for a better evaluation" and that I knew by the interaction I had with the vet that no one looked at my dog until about 20 minutes before I came to pick her up....any way our last visit to the vet...I recorded my dog hobbling around my kitchen and laying under a chair not coming to being called and taking a long time to decide it was worth it to get up and limp over to me to get a treat.  This time the vet had to admit there is a problem but he was still unable to figure out what is wrong....other than to tell me the affected side has less muscle mass.  My dog has continued to get worse with the limping since spring and she has been on Rejuvenate .5 tab 2x day and Rimadyl .5 x2 day  this last visit he stopped the Rimadyl and started her on Deramaxx .5 tab 1x day.  She now walks as if there is a brace holding her right front leg rigid and all other legs work normally.  If you have any ideas please let me know.
