First I want to thank you for viewing or joining our new community. My name is Greg Patterson and I am the COO of Pets United and Dog.com. We launched our new community earlier this week because of the tremendous amount of feedback that we have gotten over the years from our very loyal forum members as well as some interesting technology that made this opportunity possible. We know that with the upcoming fall season this was also the best time to launch so that we could work the bugs out as people move in doors as the weather turns colder.
We know that there have been issues since we have gone live and we do have a team of IT guys working through these issues practically around the clock. We had been in beta testing for about four weeks and thought that we had resolved almost all of the issues but a whole new wave of issues have cropped up since we went live.
We certainly appreciate your understanding as we work through these issues and expect to have the majority of these squared away within the next several days. We have gotten tremendous feedback from you and we ask you to keep sending all of the things that you find broken or wish to see differently so that we can make improvements and make this a place you wish to visit often to talk about your dog or dogs.

In sailing terms and naval terms, it's called a shake-down cruise. You get underway and see what shakes down off the gunwhales and bulkheads.
I like the look and the features are great once they get de-bugged. I've noticed that this software will automatically resize an avatar pic to an appropriate size rather than me doing trial and error until I get one that fits in right.
Thank you for the message. I am not sure of the difference betwen blogs and a thread...but who cares...it is just another media to send a message or express an opinion.
Anyway, I do like the look of the new site and it is very sleek. My eyes are not the best so the clarity of images and posts are greatly appreciated. I can see that you are taking advantage of the latest technology tools and features available. There is so much potential in this new site going forward.
