When we adopted Honey on Dec. 7, 2002, she was fully grown and heart worm positive. She was at least a year old. We had her treated for her heart worms and 11 years later, no ill effects from worms or treatment.
Of course we don't actually know her birthday, but decided to make her Gotch Day her birthday, so even tho she is most likely about 12 1/2, we are saying she is 12 today .Luckily she only has a little arthritis and has n o trouble running, spinning, jumping or getting on the bed or sofa.
To think she was only one hour from being gassed at the county pound is so sad. If not rescued, we would not have had these 11 years of love and joy from our Miss Sweetness.
