Back in the day.....

I was on the Acmepet rabbit board, but didn't venture onto the dog board much. Didn't have any dogs, yet. My mom had her dog (who she still has he's almost 15!), and I had my bunny foo-foos. The girls passed away when Em was a puppy, and I haven't gotten any more, because she wants to eat rabbits.  

*smile* nope - cleaned up after a few messes after some folks on Acme got done tearing a few people to shreds ... I was free-lancing for AllPets (now very sadly very very very gone as it existed then) at the time and on my other little board that I still moderate.  I didn't realize this had it's 'roots' in the old Acme board.  (*grin* and probably a darned good thing I didn't LOL)

 I was there...started looking at dog forums when I first got Winnie in 93 and we first got a computer.  Many a night I had to tear myself away to get dinner on the table.  Being new to a computer, I was fascinated by the things I saw.  Don't think I posted a whole lot, though.

Yep, but like Callie, I didn't realize there was a connection between this forum and Acme (other than the members).  I heard about this board on another one maybe 3-4 years ago, back when it was still idog.

eta- I started out posting on Acme's Dog House board, then spread out to the mixed breed, Labs, rabbits, small animal and horse ones.  Oh yeah- can't foget the NDR board- the "original" one.  Spent many a night there while my husband was out west on business.

Yikes!  So I've been hanging around this joint for FIVE years?  Wow!  Must be an addiction!

 I don't come around much, these days, but I think I signed up for i-dog, in 2004, after we got  Jasmine.  I was feeding Jasmine Iams, since that's what I'd fed our previous dog.  So, Jasmine being a different dog, turned up her nose at Iams and didn't want to eat it, so I was looking for what other people fed their dogs!  (Currently, Eagle Pack Holistic Select chicken and rice)

I joined i-dog in Sept. ( I think )  2005. Before that, I was on a dog sledding forum. We got Shadow Labor Day Weekend 2004, when he was 1 year 2 months. Back in the days of BBS's, I belonged to a writer's group and a physics group. I had a friend's old computer with an 8088 chip. It would DOS and executable pograms and I would do stuff in C+ and compile it into an executable.

Back in the early 80's, I learned computers on a TRS-80 and had a TI-99 4a at home. In the 70's, my mom worked on IBM 360 Mainframe computers and she started in 1969 as a key punch operator. Times have changed a bit.

I've noticed most of the old hands have stayed around in the last few years, weathering the changes as they come and go.

I joined in November of '04 - just in time to hear everyone complaining about the "new board" and going on about how wonderful it was before. Sound familiar?
