    Correction Confusion....

Your dog is about to do something wrong...
Maybe take something off the table? Act aggressive toward another dog?

Do you use a training collar to emulate a physical touch as dogs do to each other or
Redirect with a treat? Is a training collar to harsh? Could redirection with a treat be a reward for doing something bad?

I don't know how much I agree with a "positive" approach. I mean, if your dog is trying to eat something off the table, sure. But if  my dog is trying over aggression toward another dog , you best believe I am using more traditional correction.  Thats me though.

Using punishment to correct aggression has been proven to increase the likelihood that the dog's aggression will increase.

Sure I will give it a read, always willing to see another prospective. But I am not talking about punishment, more like a quick " I don't think so" just like you would do to a human child.
