I was inspired by an episode of American Dad where Stan ran down a top ten list of his favorite fictional dogs from TV movies and books.Give a list or just your favorite. 10 Charlie (All Dogs go to Heaven) 9 Clifford the Big Red Dog 8 Mimi (from Clifford the Big Red Dog) 7 T Bone (Also from Clifford) 6 Lassie 5 Murray (from Mad about You) 4 Rose (John Katz book Rose in a Storm) 3 UnderDog (the old animated one) 2 Wishbone 1 Scooby Dooby Doo

Favorites..hmm...

White Fang
Buck (from Call of the Wild)
Shiloh
The hounds from Where the Red Fern Grows
Big Red
Old Yeller
Pluto
Charley Dog (Merrie Melodies/Looney Tunes)
The Sheepdog (same as above)
Goofy

There are more...but those are favorites and I tried to keep it to 10. :) Really close on Buck and White Fang. They both are such wonderful animals. I like that they are just that too. No real attempt to humanize them or make them into caricatures. I loved both books...equally...so really tough call for me. Honorable Mention: Einstein from Dean R Koontz's book "Watchers" he was just breathtakingly adorable. :)
